About This Song

Written in 1981, this song puts to music the great words of the Apostle Paul. Before the Holy Spirit came into us all we had were rules interpreted by human understanding. We did everything we could to understand and live by those rules, but we failed. For that matter, the more we tried to obey the rules, the more sin rose up and took advantage of those rules and caused us to sin more. Without the nature of righteousness within us we were wretched people. But now the Holy Spirit has come and we can live our daily lives in that Spirit. With the Spirit of God in us, we have the nature of righteousness within us, thus allowing us to be able to bypass the whole wretched man thing and live in righteousness. The Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made us from from the law of sin and death!
